The Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup is back. Toyota Motor Philippines’ premier motorsports program is set to return to the Clark International Speedway this weekend, October 16, for another round of competitive racing. Postponing the second leg from September to October, TMP continues to provide thrilling track action made safer for all participants and motorsports enthusiasts. TGR Vios Cup fans can witness the fun real time through Toyota Motor Philippines’ official Facebook page on October 16, 10AM.
The first leg concluded a very exciting race, with veteran Vios Cup racers dominating the Circuit Championship. Maila Alivia and Jiro Garbes dominated 2 out of 3 races for the Promotional Class while celebrity racers Troy Montero and Fabio Ide had one podium finish each. Consistent Sporting Class top 3 finishers were Inigo Anton, Julian Tang, and Joaquin Garrido while Super Sporting Class saw Gerard Loy as a consistent podium placer, with Estefano Rivera and Red Diwa finishing in the top 3 in the first 2 races.
Meanwhile, actor Alex Diaz dominated the tracks in the Autocross Challenge Celebrities and Influencers Class, followed by TV star John Manalo and social media personality Jules Aquino.
The glory is up for grabs again this weekend, with veteran and rookie racers coming together to compete for the top spot on the podium. Vios Cup celebrity racers Daniel Matsunaga, Troy Montero, and Fabio Ide will be racing against each other for the Circuit Championship under the Promotional Class. The Autocross Challenge is equally as thrilling with beauty queens turned media personalities Winwyn Marquez, Laura Lehmann, and Carla Lizardo; actors and TV stars Enzo Pineda, Arron Villaflor, John Manalo, Gab Lagman, and Jacq Yu; social media personalities Lexi Mendiola, Jules Aquino, and Bianca Yao; and radio host Gino Quillamor racing under Team Toyota Gazoo Racing PH.
