Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai commercial vehicles in the Philippines expands its modern PUV line-up using the 40s platform.
Using the HD48, the HD48 GT Modern PUV is brought to life thanks to Filipino craftsmanship. This latest addition to Hyundai’s modern PUV line-up brings performance, flexibility, and dependability.
The HD48 GT Modern PUV is expected to build on Hyundai’s success in the modernization of the transport sector. This year, HARI sold over 100 units of its Modern PUVs to a diverse roster of transport cooperatives nationwide.
In the first eight months of 2021, sales of Hyundai’s Modern PUVs already jumped 632 percent compared to the same period in 2020, cornering 11 percent market share in the CAT III (3T-6T) category. With the entry of the youngest in Hyundai’s mass transport line-up, there’s promise of a reinvigoration of transport modernization once more.
The Hyundai HD48 GT rides on a chassis built using high-tensile steel affording it a durable, yet lightweight backbone. On top of that, is a body designed by Centro. The configuration itself has been certified as compliant to the Philippine National Standards or PNS for shape, size, dimensions, and other specifications for passenger safety and comfort.
It accommodates some design enhancements that promote overall safety such as a side mirror bracket that gives the driver an obstructed view of the side mirror even when raining; grab handles and rear stanchion integrated onto the hand rails; a chute access for daily inspection of vital fluids; and a roof drip that prevents the overflow of rainwater at the sliding windows.
The body itself is double-walled providing better noise insulation and heat insulation. Together with the high-cooling capacity of the roof-mounted air conditioning system make for a cooler, comfortable riding experience. The doors are also electrically operated for easier ingress and egress.
All in all, it has room for up to 22 people (plus driver), plus provision for 8 to 10 standing passengers. Even with the current health and safety protocols factored in, this much space can certainly accommodate more passengers.
Powering the HD48 GT is Hyundai’s 2.9-liter turbocharged direct injected diesel engine with 160 horsepower and 392 Nm of torque. This eco-friendly powerplant is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The HD48 GT is also equipped with Load-sensing Proportional Valve (LSPV) and Auto adjuster that adapt braking force depending on vehicle load for reassuring braking performance.
Finally, the Hyundai HD48 GT comes with a three-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty whichever comes first. Pricing is set at P 2,402,000.
It’s time you choose a Hyundai PUV and be Driven to move towards opportunities that shall help you navigate your journey safely, efficiently, and sustainably in the “now normal” of working and living. It’s time for the HD48 GT Modern PUV.
