The global chip shortage has forced Maserati to postpone the launch of its highly-anticipated Grecale SUV to early next year.
Previously, the Italian carmaker originally scheduled a November 16 launch for its new small SUV. However, due to the continuous interruptions to key components to complete the car’s production, they have decided to defer the global premiere to sometime spring 2022.
In a statement, Maserati says the shortage of semiconductors will not allow them to respond properly to the expected global demand. However, they assure customers that they will “guarantee the continuity of its business.”
