Did Ford PH Just Show The Refreshed 2022 Everest?

Update: Ford Philippines releases a statement (11/5).

Did Ford Philippines inadvertently show the arrival of the refreshed Ford Everest? It seems so, if this is based on the carmaker’s website splash page.

To recall, Ford gave its 7-seater pickup-based passenger vehicle (PPV) a very minor nip-and-tuck last year, at least regionally. It sure took its sweet time getting to the Philippines, but the revised Everest for the local market does seem to echo what’s already been launched in other ASEAN markets.

The changes are purely aesthetic, mind you. It gets a mesh pattern in its front grille and the words, “EVEREST” spelt out on the hood. It’s pretty close to the Everest Sport model, only in the Titanium trim, it’s decked out in chrome.

Regionally, the refreshed Everest also saw the discontinuation of the long-serving 2.2-liter DuraTorq engine. Instead, Ford’s going all in on its 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine with either single- (180 horsepower, 420 Nm of torque) or twin-turbos (213 horsepower, 500 Nm of torque). Both versions come with a 10-speed automatic.

Locally, Ford Philippines is still showing the Trend on its official price list, but a gander at the digital brochure reveals that they’re probably planning to cull it soon. If their revised spec sheet is to be believed, Ford will cut the Everest variants from four to three with the Sport 4x2 now becoming the base model. This is followed by the Titanium 4x2 and the Titanium+ 4x4.

In terms of pricing, Ford has yet to announce anything official, but given that the changes to the Everest are pretty miniscule, we’d expect the prices to remain largely the same with the Everest Sport 4x2 priced at P 1,928,000, the Everest Titanium 4x2 at 1,995,000, and the Everest Titanium+ 4x4 at P 2,299,000. The optional Snowflake White Pearl color adds P 15,000.
