Careless Music makes headlines by reuniting Nadine Lustre, Massiah, and James Reid for a track entitled, Own It. The three artists star in a music video that features the Yamaha Mio scooter throughout its 4-minute run time.
The collaboration is meant to embrace differences and bridge people through music, a reminder that humans are social beings with an innate desire for social interactions—opportune especially at a time when people are forced in isolation.
“The very special thing about this collaboration is Careless brings people together through experiences bound by music, Yamaha brings people together by bridging the distance between people and putting them together in one space,” according to Careless Music’s Chief Operating Officer, Angela Cinco.
Own It is an upbeat house track that balances the urban and the tropical. It has fast-paced dance elements that instill the song with sense of freedom and levity—like a ride with no destination in mind with nothing holding you back.
It combines the different styles of James Reid, Nadine Lustre, and Massiah to showcase the unity found in music and how culture is not something you conform to, but make your own.
Own It is out now. Check out the music video below as well.
