Outside, the 2022 MINI features a newly designed radiator grille with a hexagonal contour and a one-piece chrome frame. Inside is a hexagonal grid pattern with a red “S” and single chrome strut. Along with the new front design, the Countryman now uses standard LED lighting for the head-, fog, signal, and taillights. Capping off the changes are piano black exterior trim found on the headlight surrounds, rear lights, radiator grille, and side indicator elements as well as 19-inch light alloy wheels with shod with run flat tires.

Further personalization options are available including black exterior badges, and a gray-black flag pattern for the taillights (Night Jack).

Under the hood, the 2022 Countryman offers an optimized level of performance balancing fun and fuel consumption. For instance, it’s fitted with a particulate filter enabling it to meet Euro 6d emissions standards. Aside form that, the TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gets a higher pressure direct injection system as well as an exhaust manifold now integrated in the cylinder head. Power remains at 192 horsepower at 5,000 to 5,500 rpm, but peak torque is now at 280 Nm at 1,350 to 4,600 rpm. The standard transmission is a 7-speed double clutch gearbox.

Inside, the Countryman now has a 5-inch digital instrument display while at the center is an 8.8-inch colored infotainment system with touchscreen functionality. It also adds wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless charging along with a second USB socket for charging mobile phones and devices. In terms of functionality, the 2022 model now has front and rear parking sensors as standard as well as Park Assist. Electrically adjustable for the front seats are now standard, and this includes a memory function for the driver’s side.

Like the exterior, the MINI Countryman can be speced using MINI Original Accessories including a roof box, molded luggage compartment mats, all-weather floor mats, to LED door projectors.

The 2022 MINI Countryman retails for P 3,750,000 and is now available at authorized dealerships at Bonifacio Global City, Alabang, Pampanga, and Cebu.
