Mitsubishi Motors PH Adds Black Series Variant To 2022 Strada For P 1.764M

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation introduces an addition to the Black Series family with the 2022 Strada Athlete 4WD Black Series. This follows the launch of the Xpander Black Series last November.

Decked out in a new Jet Black Mica color, this special Strada Athlete trim features a blacked out rear spoiler and front bumper. Inside, the orange leather seats have black accents to blend with the theme.

“The addition of the new Strada Jet Black Mica color option is our way of providing more choices for our customers. We believe that a vehicle is more than just a tool of transportation but a reflection of their characteristics. With this in mind, we are committed to provide alternatives that will best represent their personality and further enhance ownership experience,” said by Mr. Takeshi Hara, President and CEO of MMPC.

Aside from the black accents, the rest of the truck is pretty much shared with the Strada Athlete variant. With that, it gets large side decals, high-gloss black exterior design trimmings on the Dynamic Shield grille, side mirrors, styling bar, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Based off the Strada Athlete 4WD variant, the Strada Athlete Black Series gets standard driver assist features such as Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS), Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist (BSW with LCA) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), and automatic high-beam.

It is also equipped with Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC) and Trailer Stability Assist, ensuring performance and safety under heavy loads. It also has Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist. This is on top of the advanced Super Select 4WD system mated to a 2.4-liter MIVEC diesel engine with 181 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. The sole gearbox is a 6-speed automatic.

Thankfully, there is no additional price to pay for this Black Series. It retails at P 1,764,000 which is the same price as the non-Black Series Strada Athlete 4WD. It is now available at all Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide.

    2. All-new Strada is already here. It's called the Nissan Navara (next gen Strada will likely be a rebadge, just like Outlander and X-Trail)
