Just a few weeks after Ford revealed the next-generation Ranger, its Volkswagen counterpart, the all-new Amarok has been teased as well.
The third-generation Amarok, while based on the Ranger platform, will sport a completely unique top hat. This means its exterior and interior design (including execution) will be unique to Volkswagen.
With that, the German brand says it will feature “clear Volkswagen DNA.” Among the design features expected include an X motif at the front. The sketches also show what look to be more aggressive fender flares. Inside, the 2023 Amarok looks to have the same large portrait-style touchscreen found in the Ranger along with Ford interior bits—the steering wheel buttons and stalks being the most obvious.
The all-new Amarok will be built in South Africa alongside the Ranger. It will debut in late 2022 with an optional turbocharged diesel V6.

DeleteVW PH should release this in the local market. Will likely have a good chance of success, assuming good pricing and specs.
