The 11th generation Honda Civic has added yet another trophy to its cabinet as it won the prestigious 2022 North American Car of the Year award. This marks the third time the Civic has won the award after the tenth-generation model won it in 2016 and the eighth-generation in 2006.
Redesigned from the ground-up, the all-new Honda Civic features a more rigid body structure, an advanced and enhanced chassis wrapped in a more sophisticated, sleek and sporty design with top class interior space and comfort. It also comes with a standard VTEC Turbo engine and Honda SENSING as standard equipment.
Meanwhile, the 2022 North American Utility of the Year went to the Ford Bronco, while the 2022 North American Truck of the Year went to the Ford Maverick.
The North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year awards are bestowed by a broad and distinguished panel of 50 jurors who work for independent magazines, television, radio, newspapers, and industry websites. They recognize the most outstanding new vehicles of the year—those that define or redefine their segments with superlative attention to innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, and overall value.
