Through a partnership with BPI MS Insurance and AXA Philippines, Honda vehicles equipped with Honda SENSING will get preferential insurance rates compared to vehicles not equipped with the technology. This offer is applicable to all variants of the Civic, Civic Type R, and Accord, and the CR-V S Diesel and SX Diesel variants.

Globally, Honda has found real-world benefits of its Honda SENSING technology, particularly the Forward Collision Warning and Collision Mitigation Braking System with Autonomous Energy Braking (AEB) system.

In a study conducted by the U.S.-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), found that it reduced damage to other vehicles and/or property insurance claims by nearly 11 percent. Meanwhile, injuries to people in other vehicles or others on the road insurance claim frequencies declined about 28 percent. Globally, advanced driver assist technologies such as Honda SENSING showed a 27 percent reduction in bodily injury insurance claims, and a 19 percent reduction in property insurance damage claims.

Their data was corroborated by US-insurance provider Allstate which saw a 29.5 percent decrease in instances where vehicles equipped with Honda SENSING were getting into crashes. They also saw a 7.76 percent decrease in repair-related insurance claims—and most of these were classified only as light or medium-damage severity.
