How’s this for a surprise? Instead of sprucing up the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, off-road specialist JAOS has decided to collaborate with Lexus instead to come up with a customized LX 600 in time for the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon.
Called the LX OFFROAD JAOS ver., the customized LX 600 is meant to project powerful off-road performance meant to inspire a sense of adventure for its drivers and passengers. The exterior uses lightweight, high-rigidity infusion-molded CFRP parts for the front and rear bumper skid protectors, as well as for the over fenders.
Other JAOS parts that made their way onto the LX OFFORAD JAOS ver. include door handle protectors, muffler cutter, and mudguards. Things are capped off by 20 x 9.0 J JAOS Tribe Cross wheels—forged by Enkei and fitted with Toyo Open Country A/T III 285/55R20 tires.
The LX OFFROAD JAOS ver. Also marks the start of sale of the LX 600 which offers a higher level of refinement, while maintaining its time-tested reliability, durability, and off-road driving performance whether it is in the urban city or deep off the beaten track.
