Mazda is showing a glimpse of the first-ever CX-60’s interior, and it’s a work of art. Already known for Kodo—the design philosophy that breathes life into its cars and Ma—the calm and dignified beauty of empty space, the CX-60 will once again tap into its rich Japanese tradition when it comes to its interiors.
For Mazda’s first-ever front-engine, rear-wheel drive SUV, the CX-60 will once again convey its Japanese heritage to create an elegant and high-quality interior. Here, they seek to impart the Japanese idea of Kaichô. Kaichô is the harmony which comes from mixing different materials and textures, including maple wood, nappa leather, Japanese textiles and chrome details, and Musubu, the uniquely Japanese way of binding textiles which was the inspiration for the instrument panel stitching.
Committed to a multi-solution approach to sustainable mobility, the CX-60 will be Mazda’s first-ever Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The CX-60 PHEV will combine a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a performance-enhancing electric motor. Power is expected to exceed 303 horsepower.
Mazda says the all-new CX-60 will offer a totally new experience for both drivers and passengers. Its global debut it set for March 8, 2022.
will they offer it as a mild hybrid?
ReplyDeleteAs far as we know...diesel, gas, as well as hybrid and plug-in hybrid. For PH market, we don't know what spec we'll get yet.
DeleteLooks great so far. And exciting times for Mazda.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, Mazda's upmarker move I reckon will bring RWD vehicles pricing near that of Lexus. In a way, it's good that Lexus will start to have competition the in Japanese premium space, more choices for the consumers the better.
Lexus level na ba talaga to?
DeleteBased on leaked photos, exterior design is not impressive borderline ugly. Cx60 looks better
