Audi PH Offers Home Charging Solutions For e-tron EV Owners

International studies reveal that as much as 88 percent of owners charge their electric vehicles at home, making residential charging solutions a significant component in the transition to sustainable, electric-powered mobility.

In line with this, the Audi e-tron range is assured of simple and convenient home charging systems that make operating these fully electric models as easy as using any digital mobile device. Audi Philippines has just introduced the Audi e-tron range composed of the fully electric e-tron SUV, e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT. The models, as communicated by Audi Philippines’ “FutureNow” program, brings premium electric-powered mobility in the country.

The Audi e-tron models come with an Audi portable charging system that can be plugged into either a suitable household outlet or a three-phase industrial outlet. But Audi Philippines also offers e-tron owners the option of having an alternating current (AC) charging unit installed in their homes. This allows them to fully charge an Audi e-tron model overnight, or “top-up” the battery charge level whenever it is convenient to do so — just like for mobile phones. For added convenience, Audi e-tron owners can monitor the charging status of their vehicles via a smartphone app.

In installing a home charging system, Audi Philippines performs a Home Check, coordinating with e-tron owners regarding their preference for the applicable location of the charger. Setting up a home charging system is no more complicated than installing an air-conditioning unit.

Heading the e-tron range is the Audi e-tron SUV, the first fully electric production model from Audi. Offering the luxury and space of full-size SUVs, the Audi e-tron SUV is powered by two electric motors outputting 408 horsepower and 664 Nm. When fully charged, the model can travel as much as 484 kilometers (according to WLTP tests).

Demonstrating how exciting electric mobility can be are the Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT four-door coupes. Like the Audi e-tron SUV, both these models have two electric motors, each of which mounted on their front and rear axles to create an electric quattro all-wheel drive system. The Audi e-tron GT’s motors produce 530 horsepower and 630 Nm. The Audi RS e-tron GT delivers 646 horsepower and 830 Nm, making it the most powerful production model Audi has ever made.

With a fully charged battery, the Audi e-tron GT can travel as much as 500 kilometers while the Audi RS e-tron GT can cover up to 481 kilometers (according to WLTP tests).
