Seems both Changan and Volkswagen are duking it out for the title of the most affordable new sub-compact sedan in the country. After the German automaker dropped the price of the Santana to P 550,000, Changan is slashing P 90,000 off their Alsvin until March 31.
Through Changan Motor Philippines’s Ready, Set, Summer promo, they are offering cash discounts or easy financing packages on the Alsvin as well as the CS35 Plus and CS75 Plus.
For the Alsvin, Changan’s affordable and trusty sedan with features such as leather seats and sunroof, they come with these cash discounts:
- Alsvin 1.4L 5MT - P 90,000 cash discount (effective SRP: P 539,000)
- Alsvin 1.5 DCT - P 95,000 cash discount (effective SRP: P 594,000)
- Alsvin 1.5 DCT Platinum - P 105,000 cash discount (effective SRP: P 634,000)
For easy financing packages:
- 20 percent down payment + 60 months to pay
- 1.4L 5MT variant, zero down with net monthly amortization of P 12,869
- 1.5L 5DCT variant, P 1,030 DP with net monthly amortization of P 14,097
- 1.5L DCT Platinum variant, zero down with net monthly amortization of P 15,120.
For those who want a sub-compact SUV, the CS35 Plus is available with a P 100,000 cash discount, bringing the SRP effectively to P 1,069,000. It can also be purchased at 20 percent down payment with a 60-month term loan (P 53,630 down payment with net monthly of P 23,918).
Finally, for the CS75 Plus, with features such as automatic climate control, anti-bacterial/anti-viral cabin filter, and integrated smart safety technology, it can be had with a P 105,000 cash discount (effective SRP: P 1,274,000). It is also available with a 20 percent down payment at 60 months: P 77,580 with net monthly amortization of P 28,214

Wow, for those w AT, the Alsvin DCT is even more affordable than the Wigo and Brio. Hope the sedan will eventually demonstrate long term reliability and durability.
