Heads-Up: You Can Now Get Vaccinated At LRT-1 Central Station

After a successful partnership with Pasay City Health Office in opening LRT-1 Baclaran Station as a vaccination site for second dose and booster shots serving almost 400 individuals to date, private operator of LRT-1 Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) opens another vaccination site at LRT-1 Central Station.

In partnership with Manila Health Office, LRMC is offering equitable access to vaccines as it caters to individuals aged 18 years old and above who want to receive their first dose and booster jab. The booster jabs are available to all, even those who received their primary and secondary vaccines from other local government units or facilities.

Now, the LRT-1 Central Station vaccination site is open from Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Available brands are AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Sinovac.

“This initiative highlights the importance of having a strong relationship with our government partners, and we are grateful to be partnering with the Manila Health Office this time. We share the same goal of protecting our people better and making COVID-19 vaccines more accessible, so we can finally put an end to this COVID-19 pandemic,” Dr. Louernie F. De Sales, LRMC Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Department said.

Those who are planning to receive their first dose and booster jab at LRT-1 Central Station are required to register first at this website as medical professionals conducting the procedures will need to check the QR code that will be generated from the online registration.

There will also be representatives from Manila Health Office onsite who will help individuals register online before the vaccination procedures in case they were not able to register prior to their visit.

To date, LRMC has achieved a 99.7 percent vaccination rate and 60 percent for booster shots among LRT-1 employees. The company has been awarded the Safety Seal highlighting the company’s compliance with COVID-19 protocols.

LRMC expects to partner with other LGUs for the roll out of additional LRT-1 vaccination sites. LRT-1 Baclaran vaccination site will be open to the public once again on February 23 (8AM– 2PM), while LRT-1 Central vaccination site is initially targeted to run for a week.
