Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is extending its “Choose Your Own Deals” this February, and this time, they’re adding new deals to cover the all-new Civic and BR-V.
Valid until February 28, HCPI is now offering the entry-level 1.5 S Turbo variant (mid-grade 1.5 V Turbo variant pictured above) with a P 20,000 cash discount. This brings down its price from P 1,290,000 to P 1,270,000.
Meanwhile, the BR-V can be had with cash discounts ranging from P 40,000 to P 90,000. Buyers can also choose among other packaged deals including perks such as free one-year free PMS or free one-year free PMS and an accessories voucher worth P 7,000. This packaged promo is also valid for select variants of the City, Brio, and CR-V.
Other Honda models with cash discounts this month are selected variants of the City, CR-V, Jazz, HR-V, Odyssey, and Accord.
Low all-in down payments (as low as P 10,000) and low monthly amortization packages (as low as P 13,588) are also available for the BR-V, City (sedan and hatchback), Brio, Civic, CR-V, Jazz, and HR-V.
HCPI is also continuing its Honda Upgrade Program where all current Honda owners who will purchase any variant of the City (sedan and hatchback), BR-V, Brio CR-V, and HR-V will receive an additional P 10,000 discount on top of other promotions.
Does this mean that the release of the new Honda BR V in the Philippines is near?

The coolray wins. Hands down.
For me, bet the Civic and the Coolray, it's still hard to choose. They're both compelling. Though w the situation of many roads in our country, crossovers definitely have the advantage.

DeleteRe TOTL Coolray vs Entry Level Civic - usually this option pops up for 1st time car buyers or those who haven't decided yet which type they want - hence all focus on the budget.If you have 1.2-1.3M budget and decided to get a sedan - then Entry level civic is unbeatable value for me. But lets say we just need another car for whatever reason and it does not matter much if its a crossover or a sedan - for the same budget I would rather buy the new GAC GS4 hehe, even bigger and cheaper than TOTL coolray
Please bring the HRV hybrids ASAP. We need hybrid options with these soaring gas prices.
ReplyDeleteThis is a bad sign for the new Civic. Only just released and it's already getting extended discounts. They've priced it waay above for a compact economy sedan. They should have retained a 1.8 or 2.0L NA engined base model and priced it just above the City RS. 2 airbags, ABS, EBD, BA & VSC should be enough safety features. Add rear sensors or a backing cam and call it a day. A turbocharged engine is unnecessary in this segment, especially since it's mated to a CVT that would limit tuning options anyway.

They discounted the lowest variant. And civics here are no longer economy cars in SEA. I feel like honda phil tested the waters with the S variant to get buyers with lower budgets. But those buyers dont really care about power, they just want those nice features which the S variant lacks. The lowest civic variant in other SEA countries have really good features but have a higher starting price. Their mid variant even has leather seats.
DeleteThe S & V are practically just a bodykit & a set of rims away from the RS, there's no point in getting the TOTL trim for features nobody else would notice anyway. Their product planners just removed the only significant distinction of the RS from the lower trims: the 1.5T engine. Imagine seeing your RS getting outrun by the base model S variant on the highway due to the lighter body & smaller rims. Cringe.
DeleteThere's a sport mode in the RS. Keeps the rpm high and throttle response quick. The rims, the bose speakers, the seats, the screens. Theres kinda a lot on the RS. The S variant is already really good though. But you also get nice things on the RS if you got money to spare.
DeleteI disagree with that one. The V is the one to get. The S feels too much like a fleet car--if you're getting a compact sedan, might as well get something that's a bit special. Get the V at least. Or the RS, as you suggested. That one, I have no complaints.

ReplyDeleteI bought one. Its a good second car if you want the nice features. It was this or the corolla cross. The civic was just nicer inside and more fun to drive. Also I dont like cars with torsion beam rears.

DeleteThis is not exactly an entry-level subcompact with a 3-cylinder 1.0L turbo engine. Otherwise Honda would be bragging about its better fuel efficiency rather than the token 10hp/20Nm increase in output.

DeleteSedans are a dying breed. Smart car buyers opt for CUVs for personal and family use. Thats the reason why the civic is a flop. Very few people buy them.that explains why honda offers huge discounts, even though its just very recently launched. Nobody clicked the initial pricing bait.

DeletePricing in the US is between 22,000 to 24,000 USD. That equates to 1.1 to 1.2. By that measure they have already overpriced the Civic by 200,000 pesos. Have they offered the Civic between the 1M to 1.2M range then people will really take a look at it.

DeleteThe Civic is iconic, but here in the Philippines, with the same price range of the Civic, practical Filipino car buyers will just purchase SUVs/crossovers. The ground clearance is very much needed because of the general condition of Philippine roads. The 134mm ground clearance of the Civic is really not suitable :(

I just hate it when I read stupid comments like this. The Civic is still practical, sans the ground clearance and the versatility of the boot of a crossover. Look at it, still seats 4 to 5 people, it is fuel efficient, commands high resale value and the parts will be readily available.
DeleteBakit stupid ang comments? Marami naman talagang pangit na daan dito sa Pilipinas, at sasadsad talaga ang mababa ang ground clearance. Sana ma-ensure muna ang quality roads, or else mas practical na ang crossovers/SUVs.
