  1. Still wary of Kia and Hyundai engines. I think they haven't resolved yet the engine problems in their respective lineups ☹️👎

    1. Kia and Hyundai are using the improved tried and tested 2.2 liter diesel engine for the Carnival,Sorento,Staria and Palisade.

    2. What specific engine problems have you encountered with the Smartstream 2.2 diesel?

    3. Kung talagang malubha yung problema ng hyundai at kia, bakit wala akong naririnig o nakikitang nagreklamo dito sa atin na may nasiraan o ano. That issue is way overblown. If it's as bad as you say, there should be Hyundais and Kias being repaired left and right.

  2. I was going to compare this with the Odyssey and Alphard, then I found out Honda has already discontinued the model :/ It's not in their website anymore....

    1. You're right! They quietly discontinued the Odyssey. It was in their price list just last week.

    2. think they'll bring in the facelift?

    3. I'd be surprised if they do, but the Odyssey's already being phased out in Japan. More likely than not, that's the end of the run for Honda in the luxury MPV segment.

    4. aww that's too bad :(

Hmm, how shocking would it be if they suddenly bring in the Elysion or Stepwgn XD.....

My brother almost had his house burn down (good thing he had a fire extinguisher in his garage). He drove one of the recalled Carnivals.

    3. Though not connect to the engine per se, the short caused his brake fluid to burn.

    5. I think he is referring to the recent recall with an issue that causes the engine to catch fire which I have not yet heard even one owner complaining.

Similarly, I read some reports of some Toyota 86 here that had that burned after being serviced due to an engine recall. Didn't stop buyers from getting one though.

    6. We've already reached out to both Hyundai and Kia on the matter, and we're awaiting their response.
