Limited to just 333 examples globally (and all have been spoken for), the new V12 Vantage carries a 5.2-liter V12 with 700 horsepower and 753 Nm of torque. Thanks to the propulsive efforts of this engine and the extensive use of weight-saving materials, it has a power-to-weight ratio of 390 horsepower per ton—an increase of more than 20 percent compared to the V8-powered Vantage.

Power is fed through an ZF 8-speed automatic and mechanical Limited-Slip Differential mounted at the rear of the car. The gearbox receives special calibration for an improved shift quality which Aston says is “beyond that seen on dual clutch gearboxes.”

The V12 Vantage features a carbon fiber front bumper, hood, front fenders, side sills, and rear trunk lid. The center-mounted exhaust system is also lighter—saving 7.2 kilograms compared to the one fitted in the V8 Vantage.

In order to cope with the added performance, spring rates have been increased 50 percent at the front and 40 percent at the rear, coupled with top mount stiffness increased by 13 percent. The new stabilizer bars have been re-tuned as well being 5 percent stiffer at the front and 41 percent softer at the back. To maintain comfort for the driver, a secondary tender spring has been introduced to the rear. The tender spring provides a lower spring rate than the main spring providing enhanced ride comfort without affecting dynamic performance. The body stiffness has been increased by 8 percent torsionally and 6.7 percent laterally.

Finally, for stopping power, the V12 Vantage comes with Carbon Ceramic Brakes as standard. At the front are 410mm x 38mm discs with 6-piston calipers, while at the rear 360mm x 32mm discs are paired with 4-piston calipers. The brakes also happen to shave off 23 kilograms of weight too.

Visually, the V12 Vantage is set apart from the V8-powered variant with its widened body work, new bumper design, and full-width front splitter. The front grille is also 25 percent larger while “horse shoe” engine vents further enhance cooling. Inside, options include a wide variety of options ensuring that no two cars would end up alike.

Production of the V12 Vantage, the order book for which is already closed due to unprecedented demand, is due to commence in the first quarter of 2022, with first deliveries scheduled to begin during the second quarter of 2022.
