Leading truck manufacturer, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), recently announced that there will be a change in its leadership come second quarter of this year. Hajime Koso, IPC’s longest serving president for seven years, will be succeeded by Noboru Murakami, a senior executive from Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan (IML).
Under Koso’s leadership, the company has seen numerous company milestone like its 300,000 sales milestone, the introduction of a new parts hub in Metro Manila that eased the delivery of parts to different dealerships nationwide, launch of the Isuzu Mobile Medic service, a strong Dealer Expansion program and a new Isuzu Outlet Standardization, to name a few.
He also led the company in one of its most challenging times, continuing its operations whilst the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining it number 1 position in the truck market and launching new models in the middle of it all.
Leaving a strong legacy in IPC, Koso also started to introduce a more sustainable path for IPC in the future. This new direction will then be passed on to Murakami, who is expected to drive the company to a more sustainable and eco-friendlier route in the years ahead.
Assigned to handle different markets under IML, Murakami brings with him years of experience and expertise in the truck industry, that will help solidify the company’s number one position in the Philippine truck market.
