Volvo Cars Philippines will showcase its new range of hybrid vehicles at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) happening this April 7 to 10, 2022.
The Swedish luxury carmaker will exhibit models powered by Volvo’s Boost Hybrid powertrain. This powertrain combines their turbocharged petrol engine with a 48-volt hybrid system to churn out 313 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque.
The 48-volt battery and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) results in reduced fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions There is also no need for charging as every time the brake is used; the battery is fed with recovered braking energy.
Along with the Boost Hybrid powertrain, the 2022 Volvo range will have smart features and enabling technology such as the advanced air purifier in Volvo’s world-first air quality system.
Confirmed to receive the new powertrain are the 2022 XC60 and S90. The latter will be made available in a long wheelbase form for the first time.
