  1. Where did the ADAS features go? Peugeot PH, make up your mind. Either go premium including pricing or not. Price this at 1.7M if it means including all the features it should have.

    1. Apologies. The press release did not include the ADAS features. Apparently, the P 1.55-million price tag includes the ADAS features. We've updated the info and spec sheet above.

    2. Oops someone new from their company will get reprimanded for missing that in their or press release.

Now with ADAS this is good value compared to CX-30, XV and the upcoming HRV.

    3. If this new petite Peugeot 2008 priced below 1.4M it can be sold few hundreds the whole year. Still expensive though made in neighboring Malaysia.

  2. Wow, never thought a Peugeot vehicle will cost this low (always thought of it as a premium brand, or Peugeot is not?).

    1. Peugeot is as "premium" as Volkswagen. So depending on your point of view, it's either mainstream or premium.

    2. for the ignoramus, yes its a premium brand. you people are the intended victims of boy interior. he would like to buy a Peugeot so he could impress you.

    3. If you've been in Europe Peugeot company or it's vehicle are not treated by some as premium Brand. It's just like Toyota. It's every where scattered all over Europe countries. It's in Asia people thought it's premium because it's expensive. It's the distributor that made it expensive because imported in France as Mercedes Benz from Germany.

    4. ^ also, add to that is where the car originated. Cars made and/or imported from Europe gets slapped with high taxes/import duties upon arrival.

In the case of Peugeots here the crossovers were made from Malaysia.

  3. With the features including some ADAS systems (albeit no Adaptive Cruise Control but at least it has Lane Assist, Auto High Beam and AEB—Active Safety Brake) it's just on par with CX-30 and the coming H-RV.

    1. its a good price right? considering it has ADAS, if only they did this pricing with 3008 and 5008

    2. Echoing the same sentiment. ADAS won't be really seriously needed (but you'll be glad it's there.)
But for a crossover crossing beyond Php 1.5M to Php 2M territory, these features should be expected.

  5. Saw this at MIAS last night. Nice interior and exterior design. Tight and cheap interior space (for its class) and materials. For the price, a bit underwhelming, just like this year's MIAS.

    1. RG, is it the same size as the Coolray?

    2. They fall on the same subcompact category, and though on paper the Coolray is only marginally larger, the Coolray looks really larger outside by design, but definitely has much more room inside especially in the rear seats.

This current 2008 received a "Just Buy It" recommendation from Mat of Carwow UK. You may want to check that out.

They should have kept the previous price at Php1.4M or perhaps cap it at 1.48M (shouldn't breach the psychological 1.5M barrier). To think that even on that price you'd barely see the previous gen on the road and that's before the onslaught of chinese alternatives.

  6. In dubai, we pronounce peugeot, pugut.
Its a mainstream cheap car in the middle east where the average pinoy can buy and own. Not a bad car though.

  7. It would have been much interesting if it made at least 150ps. But then again, it only comes with 1200cc.
