Ahead of its launch on June 8, Motor Image Pilipinas has revealed the pricing of the all-new WRX sedan and wagon.
In total, there will be not two, but three variants of the WRX sedan. All variants will share the same powertrain configuration which is a turbocharged 2.4-liter Boxer engine putting out 275 horsepower (well, PS, if you want to be strict about it) and 350 Nm of torque. The four-door sports sedan will come in both three and two pedal configurations, with the latter benefiting from a new gearbox called Subaru Performance Transmission.
Depending on the desired gearbox, the WRX sedan will come in three specifications—a “Low” and “High” configuration. Standard across the line are features such as a 11.6-inch tablet-like center information display and 18-inch alloy wheels (245/40R18). However, the “Low” trim makes do with cloth seats to the “High” trim’s leather/Ultrasuede combination seats. The “High” trim also has EyeSight, a powered driver’s seat, 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and sunroof. The WRX M/T is priced at P 2,508,000, while the WRX CVT is priced at P 2,658,000. Available for indent order is the WRX tS CVT. The variant which stands for “Tuned by STI” is priced at P 2,808,000.
The WRX tS CVT is differentiated from the High trim with its uniquely-finished 18-inch alloy wheels, the electronic damper system tied to its Subaru SI-Drive, felt-lined door pockets, and various STI logos decorating the exterior, steering wheel, instrument cluster.
On the other hand, the WRX wagon comes in two variants. The “High” version includes everything found in the “High” version of the WRX sedan with the addition of a powered front passenger seat, and a 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It rides on slightly thinner rubber though—225/45R18s. That version is priced at P 2,558,000. Meanwhile, a WRX tS CVT is also available for P 2,708,000. In this case, the WRX Wagon tS CVT comes with leather/Ultrasuede seats, electronic dampers, unique tailpipes, and STI badging on the steering wheel and instrument cluster.
Seven colors will be made available with the WRX sedan getting the eye-catching Solar Orange Pearl as an exclusive color, while the WRX Wagon gets Crystal White Pearl as its exclusive hue. Full details will be revealed during its June 8 launch.
According to videos I've watched, when they tested the 0-100, it is slower compared to the previous generation.
ReplyDeleteWow so expensive! New WRX is priced as much as the outgoing WRX STi! What in the world is happening to the Philippine auto market?
