Lexus’ best-selling model, the RX, will be getting an overhaul and we won’t have to wait long to see it. The all-new 2023 Lexus RX will break cover on June 1.
Before that, however, Lexus released a teaser image. It shows the latest rendition of the signature spindle grille. It has a mostly black mesh design with a blocked-off paneling at the top. The headlights also feature the familiar L-shaped DRL.
Lexus has yet to release information as to the Lexus RX’s powertrains, but looking at the Lexus NX shows what that direction could be. This could include the brand’s turbocharged 2.4-liter, a hybrid variant, and perhaps even a plug-in hybrid.
In terms of tech, it’s sure to gain the latest version of the brand’s human-machine interface first seen in the all-new NX.
The current-generation RX is also available in both two- or three-row configurations. With Lexus confirmed to launch a new three-row crossover named the Lexus TX, it remains to be seen if the Lexus RX will retain both seating configurations, or will stick to being a strictly two-row SUV.
It's now out. Looks almost the same as the outgoing model from the side profile. Smaller engines, more hybrids, more tech, and more expensive.
