After the success of making the “world’s toughest Nissan Navara,” the Navara PRO-4X Warrior, Nissan and Australian-based Premcar is now developing a tougher, overlanding-ready version of the Patrol SUV.
Confirmed via a preliminary sketch, the Nissan Patrol Warrior is set to broaden the already-capable SUV’s off- and on-road capabilities.
Nissan Australia and Premcar has yet to reveal any details, but based on the sketches, the Patrol Warrior is set to gain extended fenders that accommodate meatier off-road rims and tires. It also has, what looks to be side-exiting exhausts—an indication of a modified suspension setup made for increased ground clearance and/or articulation. Aesthetically, it looks to dial back the chrome exterior elements in favor of high-gloss or gray accents.
The Patrol Warrior, like the Navara Warrior will undergo extensive testing, tuning, and validation in Australia, its primary market.
