After its global unveil in India last November and subsequent spy shots showing it landing at the Batangas Port and on its way to dealers, Suzuki Auto Philippines has finally launched the all-new 2022 Celerio.
The hatchback brings larger than life styling with its 3D organic sculpted design. The Celerio features sweeping front headlights, droplet-style taillights, and a new signature grille. Front fog lamps and black 15-inch alloy wheels add to its curb appeal.
Inside, Suzuki continues on with the same 3D organic sculpted design. The twin-slot center AC vents feature chrome accents, while the barrel-type side air vents with silver-painted trims offer a bit of sportiness to the otherwise functional and simple cabin. A 6.2-inch Sony touchscreen infotainment system with WebLink is standard.
Riding on the HEARTECT platform, the all-new Celerio is bigger with enlarged shoulder and leg room. Suzuki has also done detail changes to increase available space including the re-sculpting of the dashboard and door trims. Luggage space has also been improved to 295 liters. It grows even larger thanks to a 60/40 split-folding function.
Powering the 2022 Celerio is a 998-cc (1-liter) 3-cylinder engine features the brand’s Dual Jet technology. Coupled with dual variable valve timing and a segment-first idle start-stop, the Celerio offers up to 28.25 km/L making it the most fuel-efficient gas-powered car in the country. This is according to a fuel economy run done in conjunction with the Automobile Association of the Philippines.
This next-generation K-series engine also features cooled EGR, an integrated exhaust manifold, and an auto tensioner system. All in all, power is rated at 67 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. A 5-speed manual is standard, but Suzuki’s clutchless manual, the AGS or Auto Gear Shift, is also available.
Addressing concerns on safety, the all-new Celerio has upped its safety game. It’s made of high-tensile steel enabling it to comply with all global crash safety regulations. It also comes with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, and reverse parking sensors as standard. The AGS variant also adds Hill Hold Control.
The all-new 2022 Celerio GL is priced at P 708,000 for the manual and P 754,000 for the AGS. It comes in four colors: Speedy Blue Metallic, Glistening Gray Metallic, Fire Red, and Artic White.

Anlayo ng inakyat nung presyo ah!
ReplyDelete-_-
ReplyDeleteReason not to like Suzuki PH. This might also happen to Ertiga and XL7. Overpriced Suzuki cars.
ReplyDeleteLast time they jacked up prices of all their Suzuki vehicles. The most atrocious was at Jimny, they're taking advantage that it doesn't have a proper competitiors hence they increased the price for nearly a hundred, without any explanation! (I can even remember the 975k price of base model Jimny at launch.)
DeleteCompetition* sorry for the typos.
ReplyDeleteIt's only justifiable if it's directly sourced from japan! That is way too expensive for an eco car that size! That's on the swift price level already! Totally rediculous suzuki ph!
ReplyDeleteAaaaand good news! The TOTL Dzire is now at 800k! Check the Suzuki PH Website.
Is AGS reliable?
ReplyDeleteover rated and super over priced!
ReplyDeleteWhoever priced (and, without good reason, jacked up the prices of) the PH Suzuki cars lately without any noticeable or with very little improvements on the specs/features, driving mechanics and platforms, they should be fired.
ReplyDeleteWhen suzuki overprices their cars, the people here complain. But when mazda does it, they say it makes people like mazda more. Mazda sure has some crazy fanboys here.
ReplyDeletemaybe you should go check the comments on mazda 2 review, everyone says it overpriced, i like mazdas and i also think 2 and cx-3 are overpriced. But the 3, cx-5 and the others, they are alright. They arent for everyone but they arent overpriced. The cx-30 is expensive but isnt overpriced for what it offers, mazda also dont expect to sell a lot of those, which is very different in the case of celerio. Celerio is expensive for what it offers, and position in a very competitive segment.
DeleteHonda Brio a lot cheaper and a lot better than this Celerio.
ReplyDeleteFor around the same price point, the Vios XE is better.
For those who are willing to venture into Chinese cars, for a cheaper price, I think the Changan Alsvin can be considered.
Hintayin natin, after a few weeks or a few months, mag-ooffer ng at least P100K discount ang Suzuki Ph.
ReplyDeleteStill, even after the discount, better pa rin ang Honda Brio V.
luh, bat ang mahal....
ReplyDeleteSuzuki cars are either very sharply priced or very overpriced, almost always never in-between. The Ertiga, XL7, Carry, and Dzire are fantastic value compared to its competitors; meanwhile, other Suzukis like the Jimny, Swift, Vitara, and now this Celerio are horrible value for money.
ReplyDeleteEven in their promotional pictures, the wirings and mechanical bits are very visible. Cost-cutting to the max, yet still very expensive
ReplyDelete*wirings and mechanical bits under the dash
Tas 10-year old nadin ang body design.
D bter alternative is 753k vios xe cvt with hillstart assist, traction/stability control, 3 airbags, apple carplay n android auto, bigger engine.
ReplyDeleteHoping Hyundai will bring Casper in Philippines competition against Wigo..and suzuki
