Last year, Ford created the “Very Gay Raptor” as a response to an internet troll. While the response, at a corporate level, seems a bit immature, it did become an internet sensation. Since then, it had become a PR tool to try to stamp out discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community.
Well, that “Very Gay Raptor” is back, and this time, Ford wasted no time and used the next-generation Ranger Raptor as basis.
Making its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the “Very Gay Raptor” will do the famous hill climb while also tackling the off-road track between runs. It also happens to be the next-generation Ranger Raptor’s European dynamic (moving) debut.
Ford will also be presenting live sessions from the truck bed. The sessions will explore how the automotive industry can foster a culture of inclusion and allyship for the LGBTQ+ community.
The next-generation Ranger Raptor is expected to arrive in the Philippines very soon where it will likely drop the bi-turbo 2.0-liter diesel engine in favor of a twin-turbo 3.0-liter gasoline V6.
It looks nice but why oh why?
