    1. Car companies are selling the cvt as "the future tranny", when in fact it will become their goose that lay the golden egg....it is very expensive to maintain and does not last long...means more income for their parts and service....kaching!

  2. The absolute gall of Suzuki launching discount promos AFTER they silently jacked up their entire lineup of cars since several months ago (especially the now-overpriced Suzuki Jimny, Dzire and now the overpriced underspecced Indian Celerio.) Just check their current prices at their website.

    1. Exactly, now that all Jimnys we get is from their Indian (Gurgaon, I think) plant and not from Japan. And they have the blatant nerve to charge us exorbitant prices on it (despite "discounts") jacking up prices every interval/year for no reason. Maybe, taking advantage that it has virtually no competition?

Suzuki PH is out of touch with their pricing and specs. Just last time that I know they blindly did this is that they refreshed the barebones Ciaz and then, to the surprise of no one, months later after they launched it they discontinued it.
