Aston Martin Manila President Marc Tagle reveals that one lucky Filipino buyer has scored an Aston Martin Valkyrie and that it’s making its way to the country soon.
Limited to just 150 units worldwide, the Valkyrie costs a whopping USD 3 million (P 167.5 million) without duties and taxes.
Boasting a hybrid V12 powertrain developing a maximum power of 1,160 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, the Aston Martin Valkyrie incorporates concepts and technologies taken directly from Formula One, and is set to be an era-defining hypercar.
Each “F1 car for the road” is built at Aston Martin’s UK headquarters by a dedicated team of highly-skilled technicians. Each Valkyrie takes over 2,000 man-hours to create. Before each car is delivered, they are also track-tested at the brand’s high-performance facility in Silverstone.
As a bespoke, limited-edition car, Tagle will not disclose the name of the owner nor the exact specification of the Valkyrie entering the country. However, Aston Martin offers an exhaustive options list enabling would-be owners to customize exterior bits, interior colors, and trims. The ultimate option even allows the laying of a 24-carat gold leaf livery laid under the paint lacquer.
Production of the Valkyrie started late last year, four years after it was first announced.
