Here Are The Confirmed Key Features Of Every Model In Hyundai Philippines' Launch Line-Up

About two weeks after their first dealer conference where they revealed their launch line-up, and around a week since pricing started leaking out through various sales agents, newly-appointed Hyundai distributor, Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) is still quiet when it comes to engaging with the motoring media.

That said, operations across the Hyundai dealer network (or at least what’s left of it after a rather nasty split with former distributor Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc.) have already started. In particular, pre-selling for the Staria MPV, Tucson compact SUV, and Creta compact crossover have commenced with the Santa Fe mid-sized SUV and Creta soon to follow.

With that, we’re starting to have a better understanding of the key features and pricing of the local Hyundai line-up.

Again, let’s start things out with the warranty. All vehicles sold through HMPI authorized dealers stand to get a 5-year / 200,000-kilometer warranty (excluding wear-and-tear items, but inclusive of paint) which is similar to the one offered by HARI (although HARI did offer an unlimited mileage warranty). The audio and multimedia system gets a separate 3-year / 60,000-kilometer warranty, while corrosion protection is capped at 5 years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

Now, let’s get to the pricing.

Since it’s a seller’s market, HMPH isn’t offering any substantial discount to would-be buyers. In fact, the discounts are only limited to the remaining vehicles sold through HARI such as the Reina and the Accent. The rest of the line-up looks like this:
  • Venue 1.6 GL AT – P 915,000
  • Venue 1.6 GLS AT – P 985,000
  • Creta 1.5 GL MT – P 998,000
  • Creta 1.5 GL AT – P 1,170,000
  • Creta 1.5 GLS AT (Red) – P 1,323,000

    1. Likely the number of airbags will vary on the model. Likely 2 as standard, going up to maybe 6 on higher variants. Expect if it's got ADAS, it's got airbags.

    1. I hope they can introduce AWD variants (kahit indent order / special order).
      - Santa Fe Diesel AWD
      &
      - Tucson N Line Diesel AWD

Hyundai Philippines, are you listening? ;)

    2. Santa Fe and Tucson AWD doesn't make sense since ground clearance is only 170-180mm. These makes them more road going SUVs. It will only result in additional cost and weight.

    3. Is your pick up available in the Philippines?

    4. importing the Santa Cruz from America would be really expensive me thinks....

  3. Tucson N-Line will be likely powered with the 1.6 SmartStream G T-GDi engine not diesel...

  4. An awd van, that's cute! Btw, are the low trim staria's fwd or rwd?

  5. All the ADAS features are probably strictly reserved on the highest trim of each HMP new cars (except Venue.)

  6. Uly based on your specs, I think Hyundai will introduce their SmartSense ADAS here (at least it'll start as full package for the TOTL Staria, then HMP will trickle down some of the ADAS to the other cars—albet only reserved for TOTL cars except Venue?)

  7. Venue, tucson , sta fe, n staria were priced fairly. But the creta wd weak 1.5l engine n just 2 erbags is overpriced, creta gls at 1.330m will be trashed by 1.250m hrv S n 1.3m corolla cross G which has a 1.8L engine

    1. But Creta is way cheaper than HR-V and Corolla Cross in terms of price.

    2. Creta GLS IVT got ADAS,Leather Seats,Auto Climate Control and others!
HRV S is cheap as HCPI reduced its airbag count and removed lots of features..Corolla Cross 1.8 G is a gas guzzler with mediocre bland interior..
