The wait for new cars has gotten so long for buyers that carmakers are now coming up with ways to keep frustrated would-be owners entertained. The latest among them is Mini which is sending life-sized “Not so Mini” puzzles to owners in the United States.
The puzzles which are officially called, “THE WE’RE-WORKING-HARD-TO-GET-YOU-YOUR-CAR, WAITING-IS-THE-WORST, IN-THE-MEANTIME-HAPPY-PUZZLING, MINI PUZZLE”, or “NOT SO MINI” puzzles are intended to keep customers excited and engaged as they wait for their new cars.
Unfortunately, it’s also a stark reminder for the global supply chain issue facing the entire automotive industry.
Still, credit to Mini for providing its would-be owners with a unique experience. Rather than letting longer wait times overshadow the customer excitement of waiting for their new car, this is giving them a different way to participate in the Mini community.
It is understood that several carmakers in the Philippines have also started engaging their customers with freebies as they face lengthy delays for their cars.
