What started out as an April Fools’ prank, is now a serious product line for Honda. Launched in time for International Dog Day, the Japanese carmaker now has a selection of accessories to make your car safer for your four-legged friend.
The pack includes a dog guard, rubber mats, boot mats, and a paintwork-protecting boot step protector. Better yet, it’s available across most of the Honda range—the Civic, HR-V, and CR-V to name three, and can be retrofitted to some older models at least in Europe.
The dog accessory pack is designed to bring peace of mind when travelling, no matter how long or short the distance. Not only will it help to keep your dog safe and secure while on the move, but it will also reduce the likelihood of interior damage.
According to Honda, the new line is inspired partly by the success of their Pet Co-Pilot Front Seat which was part of their April Fools’ Day campaign. Thanks to it receiving widespread love, they accelerated the development of the new pet-friendly range.
Pricing in the United Kingdom for the dog accessory pack starts at £530.00 (P 34,788.75) and goes all the way to £810.00 (P 53,167.72).
