Aside from the HR-V RS Turbo, an accessorized version of its City, and a sneak peek of an all-new model, Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) is also showcasing its car connectivity platform, Honda CONNECT at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
Although the official press release is light on details at the moment, Honda CONNECT will “provide safety, security, and convenience through smartphone connectivity” says HCPI. Moreover, it will serve as a “personal assistant connected to the vehicle further enhancing the Honda ownership experience.”
A quick look at other ASEAN countries though shows that Honda CONNECT opens a world of functionalities such as Car Status, Remote Vehicle Control, and Service Reminder. It also adds additional safety features such as Automatic Collision Detection, Security Alarm Detection, and Speed Alert. As well as enhanced vehicle security with Find My Car, Geo-fencing Alert, and even Emergency Call functionalities.
Since Honda CONNECT will only be launched at PIMS, it is currently not known which models will benefit from the new smart connectivity feature. However, in other markets, models equipped with the latest infotainment system such as the City, Civic, HR-V, and most likely the all-new BR-V can all be equipped with it.
I believe there's a service fee in order to use it.... Like most cars are going to have in the near future..... Subscription services.
ReplyDeleteLet's wait for the full details, but yes, it will most likely have some sort of subscription fee.
