Sandwiching the equally luxurious Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 T-GDI and the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T represents a more performance-oriented twist to their mid-sized 7-seater SUV. Utilizing Chery’s second-generation i-HEC combustion technologies, it has improved thermal management and an ultra-high (350-bar) direct injection system. All in all, the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder motor generates 254 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a stout 390 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm.

Helping keep all that power to the ground, the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T comes with a wet-type 7-speed dual clutch automatic, independent suspension on all four corners, and standard all-wheel drive. Its T1X platform is also built from advanced high-strength steel enabling it to have excellent rigidity for better handling and ride comfort.

Like the Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 T-GDI, the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T is well-equipped for its P 1.945-million P 2.1-million asking price. It comes with a black-colored interior with leather seats, power adjustable front seats (6-way for the driver, 4-way for the front passenger), panoramic sunroof, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with an 8-speaker Sony sound system.

In terms of safety, it foregoes the advanced driver assist system (ADAS) found in the 1.6 T-GDI, but it keeps its 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill descent control, tire pressure monitoring system, front & rear proximity sensors, and more.
