Lexus Philippines has updated the IS sports sedan with handling updates for 2023. Born out of the Lexus Driving Signature or LDS philosophy, the rear-wheel drive sports sedan now has two features sought after by performance enthusiasts.
For 2023, the Lexus IS 350 F Sport now adds a standard Torsen-type limited slip differential or LSD. This improves cornering by compensating for the loss of traction in one wheel allowing the driver to extract more out of the standard 315 horsepower, 380 Nm of torque 3.5-liter normally aspirated V6 powerplant.
Aside from LSD, the 2023 IS 350 F Sport sheds some weight with the help of forged alloy wheels. According to Lexus, these 19-inch wheels are 10 percent lighter yet exhibit stronger structural rigidity compared to the cast alloy wheels.
Other improvements to the Lexus IS 350 f Sport are more safety features: standard blind spot monitors and rear cross traffic alert with automatic braking. These safety features enhance the current Lexus Safety System+ 2 which bundles Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and Lane Departure Alert (LDA).
The 2023 Lexus IS is available in three variants: the IS 300h Executive (P3,038,000), IS 300h Premier (P3,398,000) and the IS 350 F Sport (P4,178,000).
Seems like the Lexus IS hasn't been getting a lot of attention from motorists lately.
