Nissan is refreshing the Almera (North American name: Versa) for 2023 with refreshed styling and enhanced features.
The most striking change is done to the front where the brand’s trademark V-motion grille which is bigger and more aggressive than before. Of course, this necessitated reshaping the front bumper too. The 2023 Almera also dons the new look Nissan logos (also found inside) and 17-inch alloy wheels for the sporty SR variant.
Inside, the 2023 Almera adds more tech features including a wireless device charging pad and a Wi-Fi hotspot functionality for the 8-inch infotainment system. Safety features include autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, and high beam assist. Higher trim models also add adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.
For the North American market, the Almera continues with a carryover 122-horsepower 1.6-liter engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or CVT.
The 2023 Almera / Versa goes on sale in North America towards the end of this year.
I wonder when will Nissan fix their SLIPPERY CVT.....
