British United Automobiles, Inc. (BUAI) launches the Mini Resolute Edition for the Philippine market. Offering the brand’s thrilling driving experience, this new special edition three-door adds unique exterior and interior design elements for a more unconventional appeal.
Based off the Mini Cooper S, the Mini Resolute Edition comes packing a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo. It makes 192 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic, 0 to 100 km/h is done in 6.7 seconds, while top speed is at 235 km/h.
The Mini Resolute Edition comes with a myriad of exclusive aesthetic cues. For starters, it comes exclusively in Rebel Green—a color once exclusive to the Mini John Cooper Works. Here, it’s combined with a Pepper White roof finish and Pepper White side mirror caps.
The contrasting color scheme continues with elements such as the headlight surrounds, radiator grille, and even the handles of the doors and fuel filler cap finished in Resolute Bronze, while the Mini logo, tailpipe trim, window strip, radiator grille strut, and 18-inch wheels are in Piano Black. Completing the exterior changes is a pattern of parallel lines with a color gradient between a light and dark shade of gold as well as the lettering, “RESOLUTE.”
Inside, the driver is treated to a Nappa leather steering wheel, while the seats are finished in Carbon Black leather seats, and the roof liner in anthracite. The same gold-like pattern is also found here on the dashboard, laid out in a parallel and evenly-curved manner, contrasted with a black background.
Among the standard convenience features of the Mini Resolute Edition are LED interior lighting, ambient lighting with illuminated entry, a 5-inch digital color display for the driver, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay. The standard sound system features a 12-speaker Harman Kardon setup.
Mini’s Driving Assistant package is also fitted as standard. This means the Mini Resolute Edition comes with collision warning with pedestrian detection and low-speed automatic braking, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors with a camera, as well as a cruise control system.
The Mini Resolute Edition is priced at P 3,300,000.
