The All-New Nissan Z Is Set To Invade The Track With The 450-Horsepower GT4 Version

Nissan and Nismo have finally revealed more details on the all-new Nissan Z GT4—a turnkey racer that will be racing in both the U.S. and Japan for the SRO Pirelli GT4 America series and Super Taikyu Series, respectively.

Based off the production Nissan Z, the Nissan Z GT4 packs an uprated version of the VR30DDTT engine. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine makes 450 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. In addition, its chassis and suspension components as well as its aerodynamics have been optimized for the GT4 racing class. Despite being based on a production model, this is a pure race car and cannot be registered for use on public roads.

Last month, it was revealed in a traditional Nismo livery. Now, it wears a unique livery that ties its past vintage racing heritage with a modern twist.

The front hood displays the number 23, Nissan’s exclusive number, found within a rising sun circle harking back to the very early racing liveries of the 70’s. Additionally, the new Z logos on the rear quarter panel highlight the modern interpretation of the original 240Z and Fairlady Z badging, all while covered over the iconic Nissan and Nismo red and black color scheme.

Extensively tested in both Japan and the U.S., customer deliveries will start in 2024. Nissan will accept orders by mid-2023. The price for this racer is pegged at USD 229,000 (P 13.354 million).
