Here’s something for the Interesting Car Spotting Group: an ultra-rare 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA has landed in Manila.
Limited to just 500 units worldwide, it’s made in celebration of Alfa Romeo’s 110th anniversary. This particular unit is finished in Trofeo White (the two other colors—Montreal Green and GTA Red—are meant to evoke the colors of the Italian flag).
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA or Gran Turismo Alleggerita’ takes the high-performance Giulia Quadrifoglio and further sheds its curb weight by 100 kilograms.
To achieve this the Giulia GTA uses lightweight materials such as carbon fiber for the drive shaft, hood, roof, front bumper, front wheel arches and rear wheel arch inserts. While aluminum has been used in the doors and suspension. This particular version, the GTA, is the four-seat version; there’s a more hardcore GTAm which removes the rear seats.
Inside, the Giulia GTA also features an Alcantara trimmed dashboard, door panels, glove compartment, side pillars and the central trim on the seats.
The Giulia GTA uses the Quadrifoglio bi-turbo 2.9-liter V6 but tuned now to produce 540 horsepower. With help from its launch control system, 0-100 km/h is done in just 3.6 seconds.
The added performance is communicated through the titanium Akrapovič central exhaust system, 20-inch center-lock wheels, and rear tracks extended by 50 mm. The springs, shock absorbers, and bushings have all been changed as well.
The Philippines’s single Giulia GTA is now being sold by Alfa Romeo reseller, Petromax Enterprise. For interested buyers, you can contact them via email at sales [at] petromaxcars.com or via their land line: +63 2 8243 9769. You can also drop them a line through their Facebook page.
