Isuzu in the United Kingdom went on a mission to find the highest mileage D-Max in the country. Their search cumulated with a vehicle that has recorded an astounding 351,364 miles (565,465 kilometers) on the odometer, all without any major repair or incident.
To put things into perspective, the feat means this D-Max would have circumnavigated the earth 14 times or to put it another way, it could have traveled to the moon and be halfway back to earth.
The record-mileage truck was bought brand-new in 2014 by a vehicle sales and service dealer, Aston Melton Mowbray. The D-Max, equipped with a 2.5-liter turbodiesel with a manual transmission, is used to provide towing and logistical support for the business.
Proving to be an extremely reliable workhorse, besides a repair to the rear differential in 2021, the vehicle has had no significant issues or major repairs. It is still running on the original engine, gearbox, and all other major components. Only consumables such as tires, brakes, and the clutch have been replaced.
Moreover, this is not the only Isuzu D-Max that belongs to Aston Melton Mowbray, the dealer actually has a second D-Max, which itself has covered over 200,000 miles (321,868 kilometers) and has also proved just as reliable and trouble-free.
