Power comes from the 6.2-liter LT2 small block V8 which already puts out 495 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. But then, this is complemented by an electric motor that channels an additional 160 horsepower and 165 Nm of torque through the front wheels. In total, it makes a combined 655 horsepower. The combination of the potent powertrain and an 8-speed dual clutch makes it the fastest accelerating Corvette ever with a 0 to 100 km/h time of approximately 2.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of 10.5 seconds.

Furthermore, thanks to an intelligent eAWD system, the Corvette E-Ray can seamlessly adapt to meet traction conditions and driver needs. During spirited driving and in low traction environments, it can apply power to the front wheels enhancing its stability.

As a self-charging hybrid, there’s no need to plug-in the Corvette E-Ray. Instead, it re-captures energy from coasting and braking, as well as during normal driving. Its 1.9-kWh lithium-ion battery supports EV drive of up to 72 km/h, and will even extend the operation of the V8’s Active Fuel Management (variable cylinder operation) much longer.

In terms of looks, the Corvette E-Ray shares the wide body proportions of the Z06 to accommodate the wide tires (275/30R20 front and 345/25R21 rear) to handle the greater torque delivery. That said, the twisted five-spoke star design is unique to the E-Ray. Inside, the Corvette E-Ray introduces an “Artemis Dipped” interior which features deep green tones. This interior color will also be available for other Corvette variants starting with the 2024 model year.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray will go on sale sometime in 2023 which a suggested retail price of USD 104,295 (P 5.701 million).
