Honda Cars PH Grew 10 Percent In 2022; To Launch Hybrid Model In 2023

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) finished 2022 strong despite supply constraints with retail sales growing to almost 14,000 units or a 10 percent growth from the year before.

An even healthier sign for HCPI is that their strong sales performance isn’t dictated by one single model. According to HCPI president Masahiko Nakamura, retail sales of their three best-selling models are almost evenly split. The City remains the brand’s best-selling model moving almost 3,500 units. This is closely followed by the Brio with almost 3,400, and the BR-V with nearly 3,300 units.

Further fueling HCPI’s steady expansion, they expanded their dealership network last year by inaugurating Honda Cars Cauayan as well as the groundbreaking for three new locations: Honda Cars Bacoor, Honda Cars Sta. Rosa, and Honda Cars Marikina.

This year, HCPI will launch three new models, including at least one hybrid-electric model. Although Nakamura-san did not divulge any details, headlining the new models to arrive is likely the all-new Honda CR-V. Its electrified models will likely come in the form of the Civic e:HEV and probably the return of the Accord e:HEV.

Moreover, they will also formally offer Honda Connect which will offer customers a seamless connection to their cars via a smartphone application to enhance safety, security, and convenience.
