Joining its fellow Japanese brands, Mazda Philippines has adjusted the pricing on several of their vehicles effective this February. The price increase affects the Mazda2, MX-5, CX-3, and select variants of the CX-5.

Starting this month, the sole Mazda2 variant—the 1.5 Hatchback Premium now costs P 1,220,000—a jump of P 25,000 over its previous SRP of P 1,195,000.
Meanwhile, the CX-3, which has been sourced from Thailand since late September 2022, sees its price go up to P 1,510,000 from P 1,490,000 or an increase of P 20,000.
Those opting for Mazda’s best-selling model, the CX-5 will have to pay more for the Japan-sourced CX-5 Turbo variant. Starting this month, its SRP has moved to P 2,430,000 from P 2,380,000—an increase of P 50,000. The other variants—the CX-5 2.0 Sport and CX-5 2.5 AWD Sport remain unchanged at P 1,890,000 and P 1,990,000 respectively.
Finally, buyers of Mazda’s venerable sportscar, the MX-5, will have to pay more starting this month with prices up P 30,000 to P 50,000 depending on the variant. This means the MX-5 soft top now starts at P 2,050,000 and tops out at P 2,700,000 (from P 2,030,000 to P 2,630,000). For the MX-5 RF (Retractable Fastback), the prices now range from P 2,350,000 to P 2,850,000 (from P 2,330,000 to P 2,790,000).
In a bit of good news, buyers who longed for a MT-equipped MX-5 soft top with a black leather interior will be happy to know that that combination is back for 2023. The additional variant—the 14th in the local MX-5 range is priced at P 2,200,000.
Furthermore, the Red Top option has been discontinued in favor of a new Brown Top option. The Brown Top is said to be inspired by the color of the sand used in engine casting. The Brown Top is only available when speced with the Terracotta nappa leather seats—a feature first introduced in 2022.

Why the 2 and CX-3? I thought these were already sourced from Thailand hence why they're cheaper. Is it because there are not enough sales in these 2 models that they have to increase the price to recoup the cost of importing? Or is it the other way around and that these are in demand? You'd think it was the former since the 2 and CX-3 are far too expensive and dated in their class. People have options now as compared to 5 years ago. Heck I was even expecting a sale.

DeleteWell to be fair kahit saang bansa ata mas mahal yung Mazda ang sulit bilhin sa kanila BT-50, CX-8 and MX-5 kasi 5 years warranty and free PMS
