Last week, we reported that, along with price adjustment to some of its models, Mazda Philippines quietly slipped in new soft-top option for the MX-5. Now, it can be confirmed that the availability of the Brown Top option coincides with the release of a minor update for their iconic two-seater sportscar.
The changes are minimal with the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay (still no wireless charging) being the only new feature for 2023 on all variants. Moreover, a new color, Zircon Sand, joins the current palette bringing the available colorways to eight with others being Soul Red Crystal, Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black, Machine Gray, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue, and Platinum Quartz.
The Red Top option for the MX-5 has been discontinued in favor of a new Brown Top option. Inspired by the color of sand used in engine casting, it can only be optioned together with the Terracotta brown leather interior.
Finally, buyers who long for a MT-equipped MX-5 soft top with a black leather interior will be happy to know that that combination is back for 2023. The additional variant is the 4th in the local MX-5 range.

ReplyDeletethanks for the heads up captain obvious
DeleteThe MX5 is better than the GR86 and BRZ due to the simple fact that the former has no RTV silicone gasket issue.
