Starting this March, you’ll have to pay more for a brand-new Ford. The American carmaker has quietly bumped up the prices of most of its line-up from the Ranger all the way to the Explorer.
Starting with their best-selling model, the Ranger, prices are up on an average of P 16,000, with the biggest increase seen on the two Wildtrak models (P 25,000). However, one variant, the Ranger XLT AT, manages to retain its price as before—P 1,374,000.
The situation’s the same with the Ranger’s 7-seater SUV cousin, the Everest. Prices are up P 20,000 on the average with the Titanium variants getting hit the most with a P 30,000 jump. This means be prepared to pay up to P 2,525,000 for the Everest Titanium 4WD. That said, its entry-level variant, the Everest Trend, keeps its original SRP at P 1,799,000.
With the next-generation Mustang already out in the U.S., you’d think Ford Philippines would be selling them at a discount, right? Not so. Depletion mode be damned as the sportscar has gone up P 100,000 across the board for both the EcoBoost and V8 models. The only variant to retain its price? The bonkers Mustang Shelby GT500.
However, the biggest price jump goes to the Ford Explorer. The mid-sized 7-seater SUV has gone up as much as a down payment (P 300,000) bringing its price to P 3,298,000. This removes the Explorer’s perceived price advantage over its chief rivals, the Hyundai Palisade and Mazda CX-9, and brings it closer to yet another North American sourced 7-seater crossover: the Subaru Evoltis.

DeleteLet them jack up their prices. Who would buy a new car in this economy anyway? You're just shafting yourself financially with all this inflation and high fuel prices. Better to just buy used and just run it into the ground until these prices become acceptable.
