The 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor Is Built For Off-Roading

We’re starting to lose count of the number of Ranger variants Ford has come up with. In just a week, the brand that only seems to care about its pickup truck range has released the Ranger Stormtrak and the Ranger Wildtrak X. Now joining that growing fleet is the Ranger Tremor.

Available so far for the European market, the Ranger Tremor targets customers who require enhanced off-road capability, but continue to need a work-related truck. Like the Wildtrak X, it has Bilstein shock absorbers as standard.

The difference though is its equipment. While the Wildtrak X is based off the Wildtrak, the Tremor starts off as the Ranger XLT. But, it gains the very same increased wheel track (up 30 mm), all-wheel drive system, and raised ride height (up 26 mm) from the Wildtrak X.

Setting the Ranger Tremor apart is a distinctive long-leg tubular sports bar fitted as standard as well as cast aluminum side steps and exposed twin front tow hooks. It also has Boulder Gray exterior details and a darkened grille.

Inside, the Ranger Tremor’s seats and floor feature water-resistant, easily-cleaned vinyl trim. An optional pre-wired overhead switch pack offers six inputs for winches, LED light bars and other equipment.

As previously mentioned, the Ranger Tremor will be made available in Europe with deliveries starting there by August. No mention whether it’ll be made available for other regions, but given the looks and specifications, it might form the basis of a possible FX4 Max.

  1. So, the Ranger variants are growing.... and it proves Raptor is not always the answer.

  2. Ford wants to cover all the bases as they think this is the way to kill the competition
