This Autech Variant Adds Some Sporty Style To The 2023 Nissan Kicks e-Power

Nissan quietly updated the Kicks e-Power for the region starting with Thailand. The electrified compact crossover gets new features in Thailand, and in turn, those should trickle in to the Philippines after a few months.

For 2023, Nissan is adding a new sporty variant called the Kicks e-Power Autech. This sportified version of the compact crossover adds a wrap-around aero kit as well as silver-finished door mirrors, front LED fog lamps and high-gloss 17-inch black alloy wheels. Inside, it adds blue thread stitching to the seats and dashboard trim, ambient lighting, and for added convenience, a wireless device charger.

Other variants of the Kicks e-Power have been revised for 2023 too. All grades get a revised steering wheel outfitted with plusher material, while the VL grade also happens to adds the wireless charger as well.

The Kicks e-Power continues to be powered by the second-generation e-Power motor drive system. Being purely electric drive, it offers near-instant acceleration and torque courtesy of its EM47 electric motor that outputs 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.

For 2023, it’s also adopting the Nissan 360 Safety Shield. The standard Nissan Intelligent Mobility features are further enhanced by Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Indicators with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Auto High Beam Assist. A camera-based rearview mirror has also been added.

So far, Nissan Philippines hasn’t indicated on whether they’ll be bringing in the Kicks e-Power Autech locally. But when they do, expect it to take on the N Sport name.

In Thailand, the Autech version commands a 60,000 Baht premium over the VL grade. That could mean a price tag of around P 1.650-million for the Kicks e-Power N Sport, assuming of course that Nissan Philippines brings it in. Could it make a surprise appearance at the Manila International Auto Show?
