Suzuki Auto PH Launches AT-Equipped 2023 S-Presso For P660K (w/ Specs)

You asked, and Suzuki Auto Philippines has listened. The carmaker has opened the reservation books for the S-Presso AT for P 660,000.

Priced at P 40,000 more than the updated manual transmission model (P 620,000), the S-Presso AT comes with Suzuki’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS) system. AGS uses the same 5-speed manual gearbox but with a computer-controlled shift control actuator. This allows for automatic clutch operation and gear shifts.

AGS brings together the benefits of both automatic and manual transmission. For instance, it allows the driver to switch between automatic and manual driving modes. It also offers a Creep Function, perfect for driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic and even a Kick-Down function. These are on top of two practical benefits: increased fuel efficiency and performance (less parasitic losses compared to a torque converter AT).

The Suzuki S-Presso AGS is powered by a new K10C engine too. While outputs remain the same at 67 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque from its 1.0-liter (998 cc) displacement, it has improved fuel efficiency and emissions, thanks to a Variable Valve Timing system and Engine Automatic Stop Start or EASS technology.

Outside, the S-Presso AGS and MT models are the same (they get standard body-colored bumpers, alloy wheels, and a key-cylinder for the trunk), while inside, it adds steering wheel controls, a multi-information display (trip computer), and a new-generation touchscreen audio system with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Further improving the safety performance of the S-Presso, the model now benefits from ABS with EBD as well as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), on top of the dual SRS airbags.

The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso is available in four colors: Fire Red, Sizzle Orange, White, and Metallic Granite Gray. The MT is now available at all 71 Suzuki Auto dealerships nationwide with the AGS variant to follow real soon.

  1. Carguide Ph is the 1st to report on this. Kudos Uly :)

  2. Uly, if this is the SRP (and not introductory pricing) for both the upgraded MT and AT(AGS) models, then Suzuki had another homerun with the S-Presso.

This vehicle is not for me (I am loving my Mazda 3 to eternity) but this will soon cannibalize the sales of Dzire and even the new Celerio (which was priced poorly) if S-Presso sold like hotcakes. Heck, it's even dangerously touching the lowest base models of Raize, Stonic and Tiggo 2 Pro.

    1. Suzuki typically holds their SRPs for as long as they can, especially for their entry-level cars. It's the likes of the Jimny and Swift that see price adjustments every now and then.
