Updated Suzuki S-Presso Gets New Engine, Added Safety, Convenience For P 620K (w/ Specs)

A month after Suzuki Auto Philippines opened the order books for the two-pedaled S-Presso, it has now officially arrived at all 72 authorized dealerships nationwide.

Priced at P 660,000 or P 40,000 more than the updated MT model (P 620,000), the S-Presso AT comes with the carmaker’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS) system. The AGS uses the same 5-speed manual gearbox but with a computer-controlled shift control actuator. This allows for automatic clutch operation and gear shifts.

According to Suzuki, AGS brings together the benefits of both automatic and manual transmission. For instance, it allows the driver to switch between automatic and manual driving modes. It also offers a Creep Function, perfect for driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic and even a Kick-Down function. These are on top of two practical benefits: increased fuel efficiency and performance (less parasitic losses compared to a torque converter AT).

Aside from the new gearbox, the updated S-Presso (both MT and AT variants) gets a new engine as well. The K10C engine produces the same outputs as the previous K10B but offers improved fuel efficiency and emissions thanks to variable valve timing and engine automatic stop start or EASS technology.

All updated S-Presso models get body-colored bumpers, alloy wheels, and a key cylinder for the trunk. Inside, it adds steering wheel controls, a multi-information display (trip computer), and a new-generation touchscreen audio system with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Further improving the safety performance of the S-Presso, the model now benefits from ABS with EBD as well as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), on top of the dual SRS airbags.

The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso is available in four colors: Fire Red, Sizzle Orange, White, and Metallic Granite Gray.

  2. Hello sir Uly, the updated S-Presso now also gets power adjustment for the side mirrors on both the M/T and AGS variants as I've seen these units already equipped with one.
