Nissan Philippines is quietly taking orders for the ultimate version of the Patrol: the Patrol Nismo. This race-inspired version of Nissan’s flagship SUV combines a bold exterior with a technologically advanced interior to offer customers the refinement of a luxury SUV with the thrill of a sports car.
Priced at P 4.999 million or P 301,000 more than the standard Patrol, the Patrol Nismo makes a statement with the signature Nismo red line wrap around the base. For a more imposing presence, the V-motion grille now has a three-dimensional mesh as well as the iconic Nismo logo. For aesthetic symmetry, the rear bumper has been changed too with the LED rear fog light now positioned at the middle akin to Formula 1 cars. Despite the aero-cut look, the Patrol Nismo still offers a formidable 260 mm ground clearance. Meanwhile, the bright chrome accents have been swapped out for dark chrome ones, while the wheels are up two inches to machine-cut Rays forged alloy 22s.
Inside, the Patrol Nismo receives a racing inspired cabin with a dual-tone black and read motif. The steering wheel is now covered in Alcantara. The leather seats feature a unique hexagonal quilting with red Alcantara inserts. The gauges have been given the Nismo treatment with the telltale red ring. Like the standard Patrol, it gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an ergonomically-designed Intelligent Driving dial, a sunroof, and a 13-speaker Bose sound system.
Under the hood, the Patrol Nismo receives a “Takumi-tuned” 5.6-liter V8. This results in 428 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 7-speed automatic. Bilstein shock absorbers in the SUV’s tuned suspension allow for better handling; while a side duct in the front bumper, roof spoiler and lighter wheels together refine aerodynamics while achieving zero lift force.
The Patrol Nismo also features latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) technologies including Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Smart Rear View Mirror, and High Beam Assist.
Take note that Nissan Philippines has not officially released any statement regarding the Patrol Nismo, however, it has been posted by Nissan North EDSA. You can check out the original post below.
