The BMW XM features a newly-developed M Hybrid plug-in system, an extravagant design, and a truly luxurious interior to deliver a bold interpretation of the BMW Sport Activity Coupe.

The M Hybrid system in the BMW XM delivers an overall output of 653 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The system is underpinned by a newly developed, high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The extensively updated eight-cylinder engine features a cross-bank exhaust manifold, reinforced crankshaft drive and optimized oil separation process to deliver an optimum balance of power and efficiency. This high output is assisted in its task by an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. 0 to 100 km/h is done in just 4.3 seconds.

The XM has a standard sports exhaust system featuring electronically controlled, continuously adjustable flaps and hexagonal dual tailpipes arranged one above the other for the first time on a BMW M model.

The M Hybrid button on the center console is used to select one of three operating modes, including an electric setting for cruising with zero emissions at speeds of up to 140 km/h and over a maximum distance of around 88 kilometers. This is thanks to the lithium-ion high-voltage battery mounted in the car’s underbody and the 25.7-kWh of usable energy it provides.

For handling, the BMW XM comes standard with adaptive suspension with electronically controlled dampers and active roll stabilization. It’s also the first BMW M model to feature rear wheel steering.

The design of the BMW XM foregoes the large “kidney lung” grille and instead sticks to a more traditional design (it does have a gold-colored surround and continuous contour lighting). That said, its defining elements include a split headlight design (ala the 7 Series and X7). The gold accents continue to the side, while at the back, the BMW logos are engraved into the flat rear window and the louvered structure of the rear lamps. At each corner are light alloy wheels stretching 22 inches in diameter.

The XM’s expressive design continues inside with a cockpit feel. Nonetheless, it provides a generous feeling of space and high-quality materials. The rear “M Lounge” offers specially designed cushions for a luxurious level of comfort backed up by a unique headliner with a three-dimensional prism structure, photo mount-style border, and 100 LED units for illumination. Features of the 2023 BMW XM include ambient lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, and a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System with 1500-watt amplifier and four additional speakers in the roof area.

The BMW XM comes with a 5-year / 200,000-kilometer warranty and is priced at P 15.890 million.
